I downloaded the release five times and still am unable to mount the image...and yes, I am using Firefox.... I guess I'll need to wait a bit! :(

I also have issues using the Nortel VPN client from within the XP VM.. It seems to attempt to connect and start to establish and then fails when it attempts to get banner text.....not sure how to debug this sort of thing... Any help would be appreciated!!

Could this have something to do with NAT? Nortel's help section for connection problems implies I could have an issue like this due to NAT and that the VPN switch cannot communicate with the client (my XP guest OS running the Nortel Client) Any thoughts on this?

Yes. It does for me...Internally we use a web-based classroom environment which uses an ActiveX control in IE....This all works in XP running in the Parallels VM....In fact its one of the reasons I use this...

Any idea how to debug why this doesn't work for me? Maybe its the Nortel Client specifically....I'm not sure, but I'd really like this to work... Thx!

I was wondering if it is possible to use a VPN client inside the guest os (WinXP)... I've tried, though I have been unable to establish a connection....I'm not even sure if its possible to do since there is some magic being done to bridge the network and all.... Currently there is no VPN...

Got Ubuntu working on beta 3 I had problems with the networking not working on Ubuntu... After digging around I finally got it working... There was an issue that gethostbyname() returned null to Ubuntu. This creates a problem in that you cannot issue sudo commands and the network config...

also forgot to mention the cd driver doesn't seem to work...I tried to install the Ubuntu live cd, and while the cd shows on the ubunt desktop, when I try to open it I cannot see any of the files....

Ubuntu Networking not-working I just installed Ubuntu 5.10 and it does not seem to recognize the bridged network either...

It would be cool if Parallels could autodetect which internet interface is up and active and select that. That would avoid the need to shut down the VM and select eth1 vs eth0....so that ideally when you start a vm in bridged mode, it just works..wireless vs cable...nothing to think...
