I think 98 needs dial up networking installed whether your using it or a LAN. I could be wrong though.

Ok, here's a question: how did you install Windows 98? I created an iso of the disk image and used that as my CD-ROM drive, and Parallel tools would not install. After checking with the manual, I saw that Autorun needs to be operational, which meant using an iso as the CD-ROM drive would not let...

Good to hear. In all honesty I think I'm so passionate about getting a response from the Parallels team is because I really want it to work for me. I hope to hear from them soon.

I love being considered a "jerk" just because I want tech support for a product I bought. I don't need to start a new thread. My only item on my Parallels wish list is a response from their tech support. Pretty easy if you ask me.

Hey, here's a cool Parallels story: Once Parallels Desktop Final Version was released, it seems that all of the tech support has been thrown out the window. Sounds like an interesting story to me.

well, another day, another problem with Parallels Desktop. On my final release I've created VM's for SuSE 10.1 and Fedora Core 5, both of which freeze when I shut them down. This didn't happen for me when I was using RC2. Any ideas on a fix? Thanks!

I agree, I hope they find a better way to deal with CD-ROMs...
