Parallels works great for internet access. I have never had a problem and from the post, very few have a problem getting internet access. My guess is you DSL router (DSL modem with a router?) is not supplying a second IP number. The only other possibility is your settings in parallels

Why would apple spend millions when it free now. parallel is making millions and if Apple bought parallels and made parallels part of the OS, the revenue from the sale of VM would be lost and what would apple gain in return. A big support headache.

Can some one tell me how to send an alt F4. The MBP takes option (alt) key for sound preference. I would be happy to turn that keyboard shortcut of on the OS X side if I could find it in preferences keyboard options or sound preference. I have also searched parallels. Thanks

I have had good success with usb devices. Garmin etrex vista Cx, All memory sticks if have tried. I assume you are plugging in the device after you boot into XP so that parallels can capture the device for XP. To get the garmin to work, I had to uninstall the driver in XP download an update...

just use apple disk utility to burn a image and change the extension to .iso

Back in version 1 I had to make an ISO Img. before I could install. I used disk utility the create the file and change the extension to .iso. Then tell Parallels to boot from iso image.

Don't plug it in until XP boots. make sure you have it enabled in parallels.
