I think this is an HP problem. I have a Canon which works fine in both Parallels and on the Mac.

If it continues to demand 105% of my CPU in Parallels, I shall be happy not to use Vista. I reckon that XP will continue to do what I need from Windows for several years yet!

mbovaird, Sounds as if you have not yet installed PD Tools - the mouse has been as smooth as silk after this in my XP SP2 setup.

Yes, I did this. I started with an ancient copy of XP home SP1 that has been on a now defunct PC. I then updated with SP2 (I had SP2 on a CD that were given away with magazines). Worked fine. Chris
