How about a NEW Windows and Linux version

I converted my Parallels VM with WinXP installed as guest running under Linux host to a VMWare VM. Now running in the free VMPlayer with tools installed - much smoother and faster than Parallels, and so far more reliable. The folks at Parallels have already half lost me. Unless they get their...

Best OS to run Parallels under

I've run it under Suse 10.2 and Kubuntu 6.10. Kubuntu is much better - more stable and faster. I'm about to get rid of my Suse 10.2 installation - I hate it.

Beta 2.2 Networking Suse 9.1 Host, WinXP guest

OK - got host only networking working now. Rather than edit the port fowarding setting manually, I fired up Suse Firewall and set it in there (that overrides the other settings apparently). Still couldn't get bridged networking working, for some reason. Strange.

Beta 2.2 Networking Suse 9.1 Host, WinXP guest

Can't get my networking to work. I had host-only networking running fine in 2.1, but that doesn't seem to work with beta 2.2. I'm trying bridged networking now, and that doesn't work either. In the host-only mode, I could ping the IP address of the host, but could get no further than that...
