    Crash upon launch

I've had several instances where PD6 is crashing during launch, before the main window opens. After the third attempt, it usually is okay and I have no further problems. I have generated reports which get uploaded to Parallels. It is getting old and I am hoping that this problem is being...

Anyone having luck with Garmin GPS?

Finally have joy! I'm happy to say that I finally have what I wanted all along. My Garmin GPSr's are working fine with Parallels. This program evolved into a nice program. Appreciate all the work these folks put into it. Bravo Zulu! :D

Garmin and Parallels Desktop for Mac Beta 3120

Same problem You would think that when the device manager sees the device, it would work. I see that Parallels has made great strides in developing this software, but I bought it soley to interface with Garmin. So far no joy!! :( (utter disappointment)

Anyone having luck with Garmin GPS?

What you write makes sense. However it still leaves me with a sad face. :(

Anyone having luck with Garmin GPS?

I've never experienced any problem with connecting my GPS to my PC via USB. Your solution wouldn't work for me since the Garmin GPSMAP60C is USB only. Same with my Garmin Quest, USB only. Neither will work using Parallels. :(

Anyone having luck with Garmin GPS?

Now that the GA is here, I had hoped I would be able to get my Garmin GPSMAP60C to communicate with Mapsource or GSAK. The only progress I have is that I can see the Garmin USB in the Hardware Device list. So, there seems to be something happening. But even though it's there, neither...

    Releasing without USB support

I didn't pay for a program that isn't fully functional. You might as well hang a picture of Windoze desktop on your wall and call it Parallels.

    What's New/What's Fixed in RC2 (comments)

Refund policy?? Since this is: "the final test version of the product before we go "live"", will I be able to get my pre-order refunded if you haven't got the USB problems resolved when you go "live"? As stated in earlier posts, my sole purpose to have this program is to communicate with...

    What's New/What's Fixed in RC2 (comments)

I tried that. Makes no difference. Vendor Specific 091E:0003 is listed with the USB devices. When clicking on it, the error message comes up. I can unplug the device and it eventually disappears from the list. However, plugging it back in results the same. At one time, I got the GPS...

    What's New/What's Fixed in RC2 (comments)

Garmin USB not working While I appreciate the work that is being done to get this to GA, I'm disappointed to see that my Garmin GPSr devices are still not working in RC2. I will once again submit a report. :(

    USB problems in candidate release?

I couple of betas back I posted the fact that I was hesitant to pre-order without assurance that USB support would be there. Well, I got flamed for that post. I ended up pre-ordering and now that RC is here, still no joy with the USB support. My sole purpose for using Windoze is for my GPS...

    RC and USB

Nix to Garmin Still cannot recognize Garmin GPS with RC. I tried both the Quest and the GPSMAP60c and neither are recognized. Bummer. This is the only reason I need Windoze.

    USB in beta5

So far my Garmin hasn't been seen. I won't be able to do any further testing for a couple of days. I'll let you know on Wed evening if I have any success.

    GPSr

Not yet. I am also awaiting the USB connectability. My whole need for XP is to connect my Garmin GPSMAP60C. It is said that it will be available (probably) before GA. [fingers crossed]

    Windows XP upgrade

I first installed Windows 98 and then used the upgrade for XP. All went very well, just as it would on a PC.

    Ejecting the CD

In my earlier post, about using explorer to eject the cd, it does work. However, I have found that you need to do it twice to make it eject. I can't get vm-eject to work. All that does is make the OSX cd icon disappear, same as pressing the eject key.

    Hesitant to pre-order

Are you having a bad day? Don't take it out on me. I think it's a great program and I'd rather have this than Boot Camp any day. Forums are here to assist. Pardon me if I missed the something in the release notes. Now that I've been told (albeit tersely), I can live with it. Now I'll go...

    Hesitant to pre-order

I realize beta testing has all kinds of issues. I expect to see minor problems at this point. But in Beta 3, I can't eject a CD nor can I see hardware that I attach to the USB. Windows XP in other regards seems to run quite fast on my MBP, but my whole reason for needing Windows is to attach...

    Ejecting the CD

I found a way in XP to eject the cd. Go into explorer and highlight the D: drive. Under the file menu, you'll see the name of the disk in the D drive. A submenu of that will have the "eject" command. It worked for me. Good luck.
