Hi, I used my Vista upgrade last night to update one of my Parallels images from XP. Once installed, the final image size was 12GB - Obviously a little big to burn to a DVD. I went though Visa and cleaned up about 3-4GB and then shut it down ready to burn - The problem was it was still 12GB...

Well, I've just had a nasty reset while using the Nokia software updater with v3.0. The VM restarted halfway through the update cycle and has now bricked my N95. Everything was going so smoothly before. I now have to see how to get it repaired!

I have one last thing to add - Make sure you buy it from the website and not via one of the boxed copies at retail stores such as Apple, etc. Only website bought copies can use the betas.

Hi, How do I stop the Parallels Shared Folders shortcut from being created? I am doing a product video in Captivate and I keep having to ditch the file before each shot. Do I really need to ditch Parallels Tools? Ideally, I'd like to keep the drag and drop - It's very handy!! :)

I understand this to be a new feature of the 2.5 beta - and I'm quite curious to try it myself, but I would wait until the this feature goes final. I've heard there's been a few glitches with it.

You can boot Windows bypassing OS X - it's called boot camp. There is currently no faster way of running Windows on your Mac. Parallels requires OS X to run as it is a OS X application.

Did Symantec just give you a manual code for entry? Did everything behave correctly after that?

You've been caught by the boxed product issue. I and some other users on this forum were unaware of this before we bought our retail boxed versions - and as such, are locked out of the beta program and the 12 months worth of free updates offer. These aspects are only available to purchases made...
