That's a good question. But is it a rush? I haven't been following it at all, quite happy with current version, but I know they were working on 3.0 Apple has said they won't do virtualisation, and I'm inclined to believe them. At most, perhaps Apple will release a "quick switch" option...

We use ACT! no problems. It's a version a few years old - not the latest. ACT!'s email integration is a bit of a hassle - since we have to setup email in Parallels (outlook express) in addition to the Mac email. Otherwise all good.

When my mother calls and says her WIndows has crashed... I like to get her to shutdown and restart. Coherence is AMAZING, but it doesn't help her shutdown (she'll restart the Mac, suspend Windows, etc....). Anyone played with putting a "shutdown" application in the favourites menu? Any hints?

Agreed. As I said, it's not my machine, but I'll change that when next I'm there. I would be very interested in having the windows screen-saver automatically activate the "pause" option in Parallels. I'll have to request it as a future feature...? Speaking of "pause" vs "suspend" - I see...

So increase the internal fans, or add fans to the base. Am I right that this is a problem because Parallels is running? The annoying thing is, very often the windows/parallels is in screen saver mode. I wonder if I can set Windows to auto-sleep (within parallels) or something similar.

That would be nice. And vice versa too. Personally, we have ACT, which integrates with Outlook Express. I don't want to run Outlook Express on parallels... but I have no choice. Pity there's no way of having windows fake OE (or Eudora), while really using Mail.app (or Entourage).
