Can I run Mac Big Sur or newer VM's on Catalina w/ Parallels 18pro?

Mac Finder shows guest windows 10 .PVM file size is 178GB. Having difficulty determining which folders and files account for the size on disk. Parallels and Windows Disk Optimizing and Disk Clean Up tools are helpful but do not provide detail necessary and sufficient to diagnose the problem...

I found a situation where I need to run Big Sur for compatibility with some older software that will not work on Monterey. Are there any problems and is there a preferred method for installation for a Big Sur virtual machine guest on a Monterey host system running as an M1 based system?

Running Big Sur VM in Parallels Desktop 16.5.0, host os is Catalina. It seems that Big Sur VM only supports 1024x768 screen resolution which is very undesirable. Reinstalling toolkit didn't fix it. Any idea how to fix it?

Is it possible to install Big Sur at the moment? When trying to install it using an installer app downloaded from the App Store Parallels says that it needs an ISO or a VHDX image instead.
