100 cpu usage with win 7

Using windows 7 and pd 6.

It happens frequently that the cpu usage goes up to 100 (prl_vm_app) even though the VM (win 7) is doing nothing at all. No applications open, running in background. The taskmanager in windows says cpu is almost 0, nothing is running there. But prl_vm_app is working hard, using 100 cpu, causing the macbook to go hot and the fans to go crazy.

How can I resolve this?
 
Actually, I perhaps solved it myself.

It seems jucheck.exe might have been the cause. It did not take up any CPU in the windows task manager, but whenever it was running, the prl_vm_app was using 100 cpu for some reason. Trying to turning off the automatic java update to see if it solves it...
