Try the solution on the previous post, set mixer and output to /dev/dspDougM said:My sound (/dev/dsp) was working fine with the beta, but I just upgraded to 2.2 and now it gives me the same "Error writing to sound device" under either /dev/dsp or aRts daemon. Running a variety of noisy applications (e.g., iTunes, Radio365) was the main reason I have parallels, so I hope it's fixed soon!

I had to change the permissions on /dev/rtc as in SUSE Linux 10.1 only root had access.rsj said:Using 2.2 new release as of 10/11. Host is SUSE Linux 10.1, guests are 98, xp, OS/2, ECS.
Every boot of a guest puts up a message saying PWS encounted a problem with /dev/rtc. Any ideas?
