After the installation process I find that in the virtual machines list I have 2 virtual machines listed: My Boot Camp, and Windows XP. I don't know how this happened but I don't think I need 2. Either one seems to work. Can I just make one go away? I didn't see a 'Delete Virtual Machine' option, but is there one?

Basically there are separate images and files for each VMs. In some custom setups you could use hard disk drive of one of VMs in another to have access to it's data.
To make me sure - please send Problem Report (http://kb.parallels.com/en/9058) from both of your Virtual Machines and post Reports' IDs here.
You could remove VM by:
1) Right click on the VM in the list and select Remove
2) Select VM' window (VM must be stopped) - File -> Remove

My situation was a little different from yours. I had installed the upgrade to Parallels 6. For whatever reason it had me create a new VM. I did. The procedure above (launching the VM to be removed, stopping it, then File -> Remove) allowed me to remove the old one. That's all I needed to do.
I would think that once you have re-installed Parallels and see the two VM you would need only delete the one you do not want. This will leave you with the version of Parallels you want and only the VM you wish to use.
