Just bought a new MacBookPro running the M2 Max chip. I have never used Parallels before but need to run (only) ONE pc-based software for a remote doctor's appointment and would to do this the least expensive/easiest way. Can I run the Standard Edition on with the M2 Max chip? I'm a little confused by the wording of "for those that need to run Windows on base model Mac computers." If I do the one-time purchase, can I upgrade to subscription in the future? Thanks
The standard edition should be compatible with the M2 Max chip, but your virtual machine will be limited to only being able to use 8 GB vRAM and 4 vCPUs. https://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/#compare
