So, yeah, conventional wisdom and past experiences told me don't download any x.0 Parallels release. Adequate testing and quality control falls secondary to pushing new versions out here. But me being human and all, and humans can be dumb, I gave in and updated this past weekend from 26.4.1 to 27.0.0.
Unmitigated disaster ensued.
Left the Windows ARM vm running overnight Monday. Tuesday morning completely unresponsive. Hard reset the vm.
All good until overnight Wednesday. Thursday morning, it's acting quirky, Windows menu playing hide and seek. Then a couple of hours into my workday, hard freeze. Another hard reset.
AVOID 27.0.0 AT ALL COSTS. Better yet, avoid updating to any Parallels major release level until they've pushed out AT LEAST 3 UPDATES. I'm on a pro subscription, and the incompetence here has cost me time and lost work two days this week. Read the room, Parallels management, I'm f*king frustrated with this repeated shooting of your toes.
