Hi. Anybody install 2X client on Windows 8? Any problems? I install 2X client 64 bits on Windows 8 Pro and after instalation my pc dont work.
Strange, the 2X Client should not be modifying the system so badly to make it need a reinstall. Such an issue usually indicates a hardware or system issue. Can you please confirm the following? Do you have any other programs (such as antivirus) that may conflict with the 2X Client? Did you install any other software/patches/updates/drivers during the same session when you installed 2X Client? What is the version of the 2X Client that you are using? Can you confirm that removing the 2X Client resolves the issue? (i.e boot in safe mode and remove the software)?
Hi. In the past any user with windows 7 had this problem, maybe for the antivirus, I solve uninstall 2X and install again. Now I have two users with windos 8 with this problem. They reinstall windows 8 but now they dont want install 2X. The 2X version is the last. I ask you for if Windows 8 have problem with 2X client by recomend to my users dont install 2X in Windows 8. Regrettably I dont have any machine with Windows 8 for test that. Thanks

Hi flofixer, Can you please send an email to support@2x.com including a System Information file please. This includes software and hardware in use. This can be generated by typing in the Start menu > msinfo32 and saving the file in the .nfo format. Thank you.
It has been our experience that this problem is caused by the single sign on component. During the 2x installation you are prompted to install SSO, click NO on this & you should be good.
The short-term fix for this is to install the client without SSO. We've seen this same issue on a few Win8 machines and not installing SSO has allowed all of them to function normally. The machine I'm using right now had the issue and the only slight downside of not having SSO is having to manually refresh the 2X UI after a restart. Are you using Nvidia graphics by any chance? That seemed to be a common thread on our Dell machines that were affected but we haven't seen it on newer ones with Nvidia.
