2X App shortcuts on Desktop takes long time to appear

Hello, I've setup a 2x Farm at a my local school system.
The students' client machines are Windows XP machines.
I have the latest version of the 2X client installed on all machines.
Students log into a local mandatory profile that I have created on the server.
I have set their published applications by checking "Create shortcut on Desktop" under advanced settings in the 2x Admin Console.

This setup works very well, but their Icons are sometimes taking up to 2 minutes to populate on their Desktops.

They have plenty of Bandwidth. The Schools are all connected by fiber.
I have a really beefy server -

Intel Xenon E5620 @ 2.4GHZ (2 Processors) - 16 cores
32 Gigs of RAM

Is there something I can do to speed up this process? Is it a bandwith issue? I know that all of the students in each class log on at roughly the same time. (When class is starting the first thing they do is log in) So, that's roughly 60 simultaneous log ons.

you might consider to open a support ticket as well.

Anyway, do you use even the latest 2xServer version (10.0.1159)?

Well since all students connect almost within the same time, there might be an issue with work load on the server.

are you using LDAP instead of WINNT for filtering usergroups?

-Yes I am using LDAP mode. Is this a bad idea or uneeded?
