2X client for Windows Pro 8.1

We are looking at rolling out Surface Pro 2 to sales force.

If anyone gets 2X client to work on Windows Pro 8.1 please post. I understand from 2X support 8.1 not supported at this time but other options might work. Would like to hear about a success before making a test unit purchase.

I would like to clarify that 2X ASXG V10.6 and higher support application publishing on Windows 8.1.

I am not seeking to publish from Windows 8.1, but install a client on 8.1.
From what I have read on this Forum there seems to be an issue and I had chat session last week with 2X technical support (below, I removed names).
