2X Client hangs system on Windows 7

I installed the 2X Client from the website (latest release) but whenever I try to connect to my server (with either 2X gateway or standard RDP) the system hangs completely.
Only solution then is to do a hard shutdown.

The latest beta suffers from the same issue, is there any way to fix this problem?
 
did you install any antivirus /spyware prior to 2x installation?try check your event viewer logs.
 
No there isnt any AV software installed, I will sift through the eventlogs to see if I can find anything.
Another identical machine also with Win7 workes fine so it could be some sort of compatibility issue.
 
Try to test 2x client on a different windows7 machine and also can copy and paste your systeminfo details.

Start>cmd
CD desktop
Systeminfo>systeminfo.txt
exit
