2x Client loosing connection

Hi all
I run a client over a IPsec VPN
For some reason when my client computer restarts it can not "reconnect" to the sever.
Server is a windows server 2003 sp1

The only way to get the connection re-established is to restart the server.
Not good... server is hard to bring down ..its a file share

I can ping the server from the clients computer and remote into it

Any Ideas suggestions would be greatly appreciated
