2x Printing Speed XG 10.6.1469

Hi Guys

Just upgraded from XG 10.5.1327 (which has been really stable) to the latest XG 10.6.1469 on our live 2008 R2 servers. We don't upgrade all the time because we are always worried about printing performance.

On the previous version, best printer performance was obtained by using the legacy "2x Universal Printer" setting and disabling the "Add printers" on the application servers.

With the latest Windows client 10.6.1469, using the previous XG 10.5.1327 a test document took 4 seconds to begin to print. Using XG 10.6.1469, the same document now takes 34 seconds to begin to print !! How do we stop the "Processing embedded fonts" on the client or at least speed it up?

Any ideas? XG 10.6.1469 was supposed to have faster printing.... Seriously thinking of downgrading.

Just done some more testing...

Tried to print 4 pages. Previous version of XG (XG 10.5.1327) would have taken 15 secs to begin printing (some graphics). Latest version XG 10.6.1469 took 2 minutes 35 seconds to begin printing and 3 minutes 55 to finish !! Each page was on average only 150kb. That is crazy.

How can we speed this up ?

Come on 2x - printing and printing speed is VITAL !!

Any ideas?
