3036, BootCamp and MacDrive issue

Hello everybody; hope someone will be able to help:

1st thing 1st:
MacBook Pro Core2 Duo
HDD partitionned via BootCamp (Second partition in NTFS with XP PRO SP2)
Macdrive6 installed on XP

At this point all is working fine; I can access my OSX partition or USB HDD (in HFS+) through windows, thanks to macdrive

I installed Parallels 3036, using at first a virtual HDD; All was working well too, until I decided to use my WinXP from the bootcamp partition as GuestOS -

So I installed Parallels Tools for Bootcamp, config. Parallels to use Bootcamp, and it worked as well. But when I boot in WinXP (through dual boot, not Parallels), Macdrive won't work anymore so I can't acces OSX's Partition or my External HDD. I also lost the "startup disk" icon from the control panel

Any Idea on why and how to solve this?

I also tried to installed Parallels Tools from within parallels (this gets confusing :D)
The Mouse Synch works great, but the Tools' Center crashes every time it tries to load, and all other options (like shared drives, or Coherence, etc) won't work at all

My StartUp control panel still exists, but I do have the same issues as you with MacDrive, while booted using the Bootcamp partion. Just to be clear on this, when booting my Mac mini using the Bootcamp, into Windows XP SP2, with MacDrive installed, it all workes fine. However, throwing the Parallels Bootcamp tools on there disabled my ability to use MacDrive.
 
Ok I did manage to make Parallels Tools to work from Within Parallels (Coherence and etc) by uninstalling/reinstalling both occurences (bootcamp and VM)

But still no Macdrive6

Anyone? I really need this thing to work - thanks!

If you don't want to click on the link, the official response is that parallels tools causes Macdrive to malfunction, and that if you want to fix the problem, you must remove parallels tools. I wasn't able to find a forum at Mediafour to voice any complaints, unfortunately.
 
Hmmm... it seems it's gonna just like a ball game where each company will throw the responsability to the other.... Hope someone somewhere will eventually find some kind of workaround... or that Parallels will release a version of the tools for bootcamp that don't do that sort of thing...

anyway, let's wait and hope :(

Understood that this is what it would solve it... Infact, I tested removing the tools to make sure this was indeed the cause. However, this is not really a solution... I belive that the solution lies in Parallels to fix the problem. HOnestly, I don't care who fixes it, but I would sure like to access my Mac drives without having to remove the tools. I do NOT expect to access the Mac drives while booted in the Mac and using Parallels on the Bootcamp partition... this is what shared folders are for.
 
Yup same thing here...

Anyway, anybody has come idea on what exactly those "tools" do except creating a hardware profile?

Knowing what it do and how it works it would help to find a solution ...
