3036 focus when cd/dvd inserted

I was wondering - is it possible to find some way that when Parallesl Desktop is not the application that is in focus that it will not steal the cd/dvd drive. I find that I am unable to use my cd/dvd drive on the MAC side when Parallels is running.

Thank you. I know about that. But why should I have to take that action if Parallels is not the active/focused application. It appears that by default it 'steals' the CD/DVD drive and I don't think that is right
