A different Windows Activation Issue

I installed a clean copy of Windows on a new Bootcamp partition. Since I was going to use it in both Parallels and Bootcamp I made sure not to activate Windows in Bootcamp but instead waited until I got it working under both Parallels and Bootcamp. I then activated Windows from Parallels.

Now when I boot into Bootcamp it gives me the "30 days left for activation" message that you get whenever you do a clean install of Windows. It doesn't seem to recognize the earlier activation done through Parallels. And note that it is not the message some of us were getting under Build 3036 in which it said "You have made too many changes and have to reactivate Windows...."

Anyone had this experience, and if so, how did you cope with it?

If I don't get any better ideas I will just try to Activate Windows under Bootcamp and then see what happens, but I hesitate to do that because of the limited number of times Microsoft will let you activate Windows before calling them.

Plus I have some concern about ending back up in that activation/reactivation loop that I saw under Build 3036.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated...
 
Yesterday, I also installed a clean copy of Windows XP home on a new Bootcamp partition. I decided to activate windows under Bootcamp, but still had to activate in Parallels. I had to speak to someone on the phone to do this - they didn't give me a hard time.
 
Tom: After you activated Windows under both Parallels and Bootcamp, have you been asked to reactivate Windows when switching back and forth between the two?

Did a complete new install today... Decided to activate on parallels first and then Boot Camp - didn't have to call.... and have been switching back and forth...without being asked again. Hope that helps.
