I am running Parallels 6.0 Build 6.0.11828. The Virtual machine is 32-bit Windows 7 Professional. Microsoft Office Professional 2007. I can run all the databases I want when they are on the local disk (the MAC). I want to run from my server.
I map a network drive to my server and Windows explorer has no trouble finding the required .accdb. I can double click on the .accdb in Windows explorer and Access is Launched but it gives this message:
Microsoft Access Can't find the database file W:\Perryaire\Development\Waybills.accdb
Make sure you have entered the correct path and file name.
W is the mapped drive letter.
This file works OK if I move it somewhere on my MacBook.
I tried a .mdb version and get the same result.
I tried going through the Open menu item in Access. I can still find the correct file but get the same result when trying to make it open.
I suspect so translation effect is happening.
Any ideas on how to proceed?
