activating windows XP in transported machine

Hello,

Migrated my old PC and got parallels up and running though during windows start up in asks for activation key, when i put the key in (from old computer) it fails. Hence at the moment i cannot use my VM.

Any ideas??

Was it OEM Windows version?
if yes, this can be the cause

I am afraid not, because key is somehow can be bid to hardware

It's a guess, but you could try calling MS. If this is activation you can tell them that you have it on one computer and they will (usually) give you a new activation key.
