After installation, Parallels won't respond

So I'm trying to install Parallels 18 on my 2021 Macbook Pro with the M1 Pro processor, running Ventura, and the initial installation goes fine, but once I restart my computer, any attempts to start Parallels results in the application hanging and not responding. I've left it on overnight to see if it's just loading something, I've tried deleting and reinstalling multiple times, I've tried different versions, I've tried running first aid on my mac through safe mode, nothing's changed. The screen it gets stuck on is attached.
