Ok,
So i was getting really fed up of waiting hours on end for compressor to do its bidding. While waiting i had an evil plan, well, on real computers you can install a new HD, clone your HD, fool everyone into think that its all exactly the same and bam! its all done.
So i went loooking and found this neat freeware http://www.xxclone.com/
This allowed me to create a new virtual disk, set it up (the biggest pain in the world to allow windows to see new disks.. soooo silly....) and then clone my HD. This process took, 45 minutes (instead of the usual 12 hours) and i had a HD size reduction from around 8gb to 2.5gb.
It also made sense to burn that into a DVD so that if i ever need to rever to an optimal install for windows all i need it to crack the DVD and bin the old file.....
YET.... this seems too easy. There has to be some catch.......
Can anyone offer any? I am clueless and wondering if i have struck gold....
Cheers
