Always kernel panics with 2 or 4 processors

I have just upgrade to release 3810.

Now, whenever I try to start My MacOS X Server VM with 2 or 4 processors, I get a kernel panic in the VM while it is booting. If I set it to just one processor, it boots and runs OK.

I have installed the latest parallels tools.

Suggestions?

This is on a Mac Pro 1,1 with 6Gb RAM, etc.

What you can see in panic.log for Virtual Machine?
Or if guest is Windows, what you can see at BSOD screen?

To workaround the issue:

1. Open VM configuration editor.
2. Browse to CPU section.
3. Enter the following flag into System flags field (you may need to select the "Show advanced settings" checkbox to see the System flags):

kernel.paravirt.enable=0

SMP Mac OS guest should be able to boot fine after that.

Just one question though:
Does this (kernel.paravirt.enable=0) disable the use of multiple CPU's?
I do have 2 Cores running now, but on one CPU.
When I change the number of CPU's to 4, I still get one CPU, but 4 Cores.

Or is this because I own a Quad Core Mac?

This is on a Mac Pro '08, Dual 2.8 GHz Quad, 8 GB RAM.
