The mac client doesn't seem to work at all on Leopard. Has anyone had success with the 2X mac client on any platform?

Mac client 5.0 appears to work fine on leopard.

The only MAC client available for download appears to be v4.3, you say there is a v5? How did you obtain this copy?

I'm using the 4.3 client under Leopard quite happily. It's a fresh install, so there's nothing special about my setup.

If there's a v5 Mac client coming up, that'd be fabulous... I'd really like to get SSL back on some of these hosts!

Mac client

The last time I downloaded the 2X Mac client the link said it was 4.3; however, when I installed it said it was 5.0. I had used 4.3 before and this was definitely different.

Hmmm... I'm running the "4.3" client downloaded yesterday and it's definitely the "same old same old".

What "new" features / differences are you seeing in the client you have there?

Hello,
2X ApplicationServer Client for Mac is planned and should become available in Q1 2008.
It will include SSL and printing.

Now that's exciting news!

We have half a dozen Tiger and Leopard machines which we'd be happy to beta with should the possibility arise ;-)

Thanks for the update!

Jo-jo.

As soon as I have tested Alpha and Beta versions I will upload it to our downloads page.
I cannot give any exact timeframe for that, but I can say that it is planned.

version 5 still doesn't support SSL

I've downloaded the version "4.3" but it showed version 5 after launching. I was very excited for exactly 10 seconds, after I found out that it still does NOT support SSL.

Is SSL considered ever for the mac client? It's a great loss for 2x if they don't get the SSL in to the mac clients. I can't imagine that the SSL function in mac version of 2x will be that difficult to implement, especially since people have been asking for it years ago.

Perhaps it was a short term thing... I'm still getting the same-old same-old Mac version here.
