Apple top menu bar

I'm pretty new to this stuff, but I do have one major annoyance. I would like to keep the top (Apple) menu bar from dropping down when I am trying to minimize or close windows programs. Is there a way to keep the bar from showing up in windows? I have yet to need it while in windows so I see no reason to have it constantly interfere with normally simple things.
 
I registered just so I could say that I am wondering the same thing. It really is annoying. I would rather swipe back to my desktop and right click on Parallels to access those menu options.
