Application launching problem

Hi everyone,

So my problem is probably a pretty simple one but I haven't turned up anything after doing a search of the forums so here goes...

Basically just about everything works great. My problem is that the published application on my 2x desktop is not launching. I'll double click the icon and it goes to a grey screen briefly (almost like an RDP session) and then I'll see the application splash screen flash for less than a second and then nothing.

Any ideas, tips or guidance? Thanks!
 
is this every application or just a specific application?

is it the application splash screen or the windows login splash you are seeing?
 
This is with every application. I don't really see a Windows login - but it goes briefly to a grey screen like you see when you RDP into a Windows 2003 server...however there is no login prompt or anything. It simply displays that window for about a second and then I will see the application splash screen flash at me very quickly, then nothing - I am back at the 2x desktop.

Hi there,

please help us with some more details:

1. Have you updated from ApplicationServer 4.x to version 5.x or just started with version 5.x?

2. Which ports do you use for
- Client Gateway (standard = 80)
- RDP (standard = 3389)
- Publishing (standard = 20002)
- Terminal Server Agent (standard = 20003)

3. Have you installed the 2X terminal server agent to your terminal server/s automatically from within the 2X console or manuel at the terminal server/s?
