Hi,
Yesterday, I installed APS in windows 2008 with Terminal server Role Enabled.
When I try to connect, I receive this error:

this initial program cannot be started: c:\windows\system32\memshell.exe

How I connect with APS??
thanks

2X Application Access error on Win Server 2008 RC 1

Hi there,
I went through the knowledgebase and did exactly the same as mentioned there.
However, I get this error:
Internal Error 2825.

I added memshell.exe from my system 32 to the remote App program.
Any other solutions for this or did I miss somthing?

Thanks.

Hey Nixu,
Thanks...
I should have mentioned it earlier. Sorry...
The error is forced by 2X AppSRVClient.
----------------------------------------
2X ApplicationServer Client X

x Internal Error <2825>
----------------------------------------

That's the screen shot I am getting right now.
By the way, Win Server 2008 RC1 is a new install.
This error occurs before and after adding the 2X memshell.exe in the remote programs in terminal server config and trying to access the app.
Since I did not see it working, I changed everything into the default mode(terminal services plus 2X(uninstall/install).
After this I followed the solution listed in Knowledgebase...but again the same message. Googling did not work either..

Thanks

Hi there,

I managed to reproduce this issue and managed to solve it by disabling "Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level authentication".

This is found under the RDP-Tcp Properties in the Terminal Service Configuration.

Hi Nixu,

Thanks a lot. That checkbox selection made it all. Now it works like a charm.

Cheers,

Tom
