Applications not running

Hello, I'm a newbie to iMac and Parallel. My XP Window was working fine until I attempted to run the Kaspersky internet security software today. That software locked-up...won't update...won't scan without locking-up after errors. Now I can't open any of my applications, such as Photoshop and Bridge. Any suggestions on what to do? I'm thinking about uninstalling and re-installing Windows...and removing Kaspersky totally.
 
Re-installed Parallel and was able to get Photoshop and Bridges started in Windows XP. However, Bridges locks-up when doing simply functions such copying and moving images. Get Windows error window that "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to shut-down". Have to re-start windows...very slow to shut-down and re-start. Then able to start Bridges again. But soon locks-up again...same message. Getting pretty frustrated with this situation. About ready to trash Parallel and use Boot Camp. Anybody have any suggestions as to a fix??? Thx
