Apps will not launch

Hi There,
We've decided to go with 2X. Since deciding to purchase, rebuilt the server (Win2K3 Ent SP2) and installed 2XAppServer version 6 build 421 in Enterprise mode. Rebuilt to get a fresh install of everything. Changed TCP Port to 81 on IIS and RDP to something other than 3389.

Also installed the client of same version and build on my machine.
Upon pulling up the 2X Client I can see all of the published apps; however, when I go to open them......nothing happens. No error on client or server, nothing in event logs of either.

I can connect via MS TSC; however cannot connect using the 2X Client. Had this issue just before reinstalling too. Cannot figure out what went awry.
 
Hi there,

Could you please do the following steps:
1) Close the 2x Client completely
2) Enable the log file and clear it.
3) Switch on the Client and retrieve the list of applications.
4) Run an application.
5) post the log file that has been generated.

Ideally, remove all the published applications an publish Notepad only, to perform the above test.

OK, Shut down my client app. I was logged in via an RDP session (MSTSC) and enabled logging, then cleared the log, logged off of the server. Started up the 2X client app. I did try to run various applications and nothing ever took. If I were to think anything of the log, it all looks normal to me, except I don't see any failures from trying to run apps...and the 127.0.0.1 address, not sure if that is normal or not.

I've installed the client on to another PC (mine is Vista this other one is XP and on a different Domain...not that it should matter).

Start the 2X client on the other PC and I see all of the apps I have filtered for myself. Log in as another person, and I see nothing (I've only published one app and I'm the only one in any filters). So, I know that the client is talking to the agent and publishing is working.

However, when I try to open a published app, no matter who I try to log in as I get a 2X Error message
"The Client could not access the remote application.
Terminal Server might be too busy to accept new connections or network problems are preventing your connection.
Please try connecting again later."

However, I can still access the computer via MSTSC on from any workstation and User ID.
 
Hi there,

There seams to be something strange, this might come up from some mis-configuration... Best thing is to send a support request from the console so that they have the full picture...

Hi.

Recently i have installed the 2x App Server, and the Client in other PC. And i have the same problem. I can see what i publish, but if i try to doble click the application, document... i receive the same message.

One Server with 2003 Server. One pc with XP Pro. In the same LAN.

The server name is Example1. The workgroup is Example22.

In the pc i don't change the old WorkGroup, is EEE11 (For example).

But, when i publish an applicattion... i see something in the 2x APPS Server when i filter by users.

WINNT:\Example22\Example1...

Or something similar.

Could be the differente Workgroup between the server and the pc the problem for that?

Hi DKKE..

2X Application Server is capable of working with different workgroups..

Most probable you have some misconfiguration...

I suggest you send a support request from the 2x Console..
