AppSer Console terminates unexpectedly when publishing

Hi,

I am having problems testing the 2X Application Server Version 7.1.

When I try to publish an application, document or pre defined application, the console terminates unexpectedly. The error given in the Windows Event Log is as follows:

Faulting application 2xconsole.exe, version 7.1.657.0, faulting module 2xconsole.exe, version 7.1.657.0, fault address 0x000583a7.

I have tried this on a Windows Server 2003 and also an XP Pro.

Publishing a Desktop or folder works fine. But cannot add Applications e.g. EXEs or documents.

Any idea what may be wrong?

I second this... I'm having the exact same problem.

I uninstalled and reinstalled in Enterprise mode and it seems happier now.

I uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled in Enterprise mode, but still face the same error. Console just terminates when adding an application or document.

Anyway I can get hold of the previous version (6.??) ?

Hi there,

Make sure that all the modules have been updated successfully.
From the 2x Console go to Information->Software Update and check that all the modules have the same build number.

What OS & Service Packs are you using ?

Please note that a newer version is available, 7.1.658
