audio recording problem

hi. i have windows xp installed through parallels on my imac intel os 10.4. i have all the standard specs for the imac, and xp, etc. i CANNOT seem to record through my internal input! i can do it no problem on my regular mac. and oddly enough, when i switch the audio input for parallels to microphone, i can record through my imac's built in mic with no problem. but i have tried EVERY combo of audio settings on parallels, xp, and my mac combined, and i cannot get the internal audio to record on parallels!! any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm super frustrated.
 
just want to make it clear that i searched old threads and none of the solutions worked for me. for example, changing the audio input on my mac to 'line-in' or 'built-in aggregated' and all that. ive treid combinations of those things with all combinations of the windows VM recording settings. also, this is my mac's sound card, maybe it isnt compatible:

intel hi-def audio 0x106B00A0

i've also re-installed a different version of xp/re-installed parallels. i've got nothing! this issue is real frustrating, any kind of help would be awesome!
