Ho do stop windows auto-detecting when I plugin USB devices etc?

I am having the same problem with DVD's. Parallels seems to make Windows take control.

How do I change this behavior because I don't see the same options as for USB.

When Parallels Desktop is running in the left bottom panel you can see CD icon, click on it and select disconnect
