Apparently as ParalleL Desktop is a VM and not an emulator, it's all in Microsoft's hands to support AVX and AVX2 functions. Microsoft has brought this support with Prism, but that feature is only currently available in the Windows Insider "Canary".
Still no DirectX12 support (or it shows DirectX12 but is limited to DirectX11), but now that Microsoft is working to bring parity to the WIndows ARM64 with the Copilot PC's, perhaps that will be in a future insider canary preview.
This is with my Apple Silicon M1 Max SoC.
