This is my story, and I don't know if it applies to others, and to other guest OS's.
I am running Host OS X 10.8.4 and Guest Windows XP and Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro (MBP)
A few days ago I had operated my MBP from battery, and Parallels suggested that I turn on the Battery Save function for the clients. There after, when I was back at my desk, running off the charger, my client sessions would loose their network shares and in fact freeze, so only a "hard" Stop would get me out. The host was fine.
I eventually hit upon the idea of turning OFF the battery save feature and things are back to working well. I have advised Parallels Support, but wanted to share. Hope it helps some one.
