I have a Windows XP guest under Parallels (migrated from VMWare Fusion, which was much slower than Parallels) that I've had a weird problem with both under VMWare and Parallels. I'm running Windows XP as my guest OS in full-screen mode tied to a Space in MacOS. Generally it works really well.

When certain applications first start up (e.g. Outlook 2007, Track-It!) the entire screen in that 'Space' goes black. This also happens if I run a batch file that I have a shortcut to in my Quick Launch bar (it just does an "ipconfig /release and /renew"). In both instances the display goes entirely black while (presumably) the batch files processes, and then the display resumes. In the case of the batch file in the Quick Launch bar I can see its progress.

Any idea what causes this? The video issues cause some applications (e.g. Jing) to become unstable and crash, so its more than a little annoying.
