Blackberry 8830 tethering with PD4 and vzaccess

What does it take to get tethering working with PD4? (I was unsuccessful on PD3 too.).

I have a late 2008 MBP - 4 gigs ram, 2.53 Mhz, VM = WinXP SP3

I have loaded the VZAccess software, started the software, connected my BB 8830 and VZAccess tries to locate the BB on COM 3 and 4 via USB cable and can not find it.

When BB is first connected to PD4 - Win XP states found new hardware. USB menu in PD4 has the BB listed.

Your insight is much appreciated.

Have you tried WMWiFiRouter - I have a Sprint Mogul and actually my mogul acts as a router and then my Mac can tether wirelessly - I use to use PDANet when I had a Win XP notebook but now my Mac and XP on the same computer use the same "Mogul router" at the same time and honestly it is quite fast. I don't use it that often - just to check things once in awhile, but Sprint 3G is fairly fast.
 
As the BB 8830 does not have WiFi I do not think this will work for me.

As for loading on the Mac I will have to take a look.
