Blank screen

RC2 = Blank screen

I have a WinXP image that runs fine with Parallels 1970.
But after installing Parallels 3150 RC2, all I get upon boot is a blank (black) screen.

I cannot use 3150 because of this.

Any help will be appreciated!

It pays to uninstall parallels tools before upgrading the earliest version

I've had the same blank screen issues with 3150, that continue with 3170. In another thread I found something that suggested an anti virus program caused the issue, and to start in safe mode to uninstall it. Starting in safe mode does solve the blank screen issue, I now just need to figure out what I installed lately that could have introduced the blank screen issue.

Ok, I uninstalled lots of things! One of them was the culprit, I now have a desktop again.

i had the same problem. in another thread someone suggested booting into safe mode, re-installing Parallels Tools (from actions menu) again, then rebooting. worked for me!
