Blue Screen Error

Hey, I've got Windows Vista Home Premium running Parrallels 2.2.


Every time i start the virtual screen (no matter what operating system configuration) the computer switches into evil blue screen mode and says 'to protect itself from damage' it will now re-boot =S - something about RAM problems i think... it goes off after about 10 seconds so its kinda hard to read.

Help please?
 
I have the same issue

I installed the windows trial version of Parallels today on Vista Home Premium. Installs fine. When I try to run a virtual machine it blue screens instantly and I need to reboot. The BSOD happens right after the message box talking about the CD/DVD autrun where it gives you the option to disable autorun. I've tried both yes and no with the same results.
I have a computer running XP in the house so I threw the trial version on it and it works great. i was able to get Ubuntu as a virtual machine.
Any clue what is causing the crash?
 
I think I saw something about Parallels not working with Vista Home. Period. You need the bigger versions.
 
yes i have this problem too.
can an administator confirm this.
is Parrallels atempting to rectify this problem or must i upgrade my computer.
 
what do you mean by make an exception for parallels.exe

im also experiencing vista blue screen./ i dont want to reinstall vista so i hope i can fix this. it always blue screens when i boot normally. but not when it's under safe mode (of course. ..)
 
Vista HP Host, SUSE10.2 VM, BSOD at start

I've installed Parallels 2.2 on Vista Home Premium, and I've installed a VM of Suse Linux 10.2.

Each time I start the VM, I receive the BSOD.

BUT!

If I start the VM, and immediately switch the VM to full screen mode, it will boot fine.

Once it has finished the boot process and the Linux GUI is up, I can <ctrl>-<alt> to exit full screen mode and use the VM in a window.

I'd REALLY like this to launch correctly on its own at each vista startup without having its proverbial hand held.

Suggestions?
