Boot Camp upgrade resulting in "Boot Configuration Data missing"

I'm trying to create a VM from my Boot Camp partition and it sits at "Preparing to configure your virtual machine..." for a long time. When I click on the little eye icon, it shows the below error screen.
I verified that I can still boot to the boot camp partition but I can't get around this error. I downloaded the windows 10 ISO and tried to boot to that to see if I could fix things but the boot process seems to bypass it even when I tell it to boot from the DVD.

Anybody know what the problem might be?

Hi DanP3, the error occurred due to some errors in the Windows disk. Please switch to the native BootCamp and fix Windows error as suggested in this article.
