I recently installed Parallels onto my mother's intel iMac (running OS X 10.4.9). Before installing Windows XP Pro, I installed parallels updates - however cannot tell you at this time what the final version is (will have to get my mum to have a look - but it will be whatever the latest version was as of 3 weeks ago!).
Apart from getting her USB printer to work, Parallels was running fine, however she recently experienced the following error messages when trying to launch parallels:
If you select yes, then the following message appears:
I have asked her if she has changed any of the config settings - apparently she had fiddled with control panel settings within XP as she wanted to try to set up a printer, but she is adamant that she hasn't touched anything else. I also asked her if she has installed any software or deleted any files or folders recently, and she said she hasn't. I am at a loss as to what could have caused this, and I haven't been able to find any info. I don't want her to go to the trouble of installing XP again if it is not necessary.
Is there a way to fix this problem? What could have caused it? Is there anything that can be done to stop it happening again?
