BSOD Page Fault

I'm running Parallels 3.0 build 5608 with XP as the guest OS.

Everything working great for months but now I've somehow gotten into a situation where every time I try to boot, I get BSOD with message about page fault.

I found existing threads (e.g. http://forum.parallels.com/thread6270.html) ascribing this situation to having shut down the VM in a different screen resolution than it had been booted into. That might be my issue, but the fix given in those threads (boot in safe mode, uninstall Parallel Tools, reset screen res, reboot, reinstall Parallels Tools) does not work for me.

Only way I can get VM to run now, is to launch from a saved snapshot. This works but is tedious.

Any ideas how to get out of BSOD cycle on start up. Should I remove and re-install Parallels?

The attachment shows the BSOD. Doesn't appear to list an error code. The BSOD flashes up briefly and then Windows goes right to the pick your start mode screen.

unfortunately I cannot distinguish some symbols in the screenshot. Could you please send some better one or just type the number taking place after the word 'STOP:'?

I couldn't read screenshot either so tried to recreate and now problem is gone! For 5 days, every time I tried to start VM I got the error and had to start from snapshot manager but now it is suddenly fixed.

Even this morning I had the problem and had to start from snapshot manager. Only thing I can think of is that after starting, but before trying to recreate BSOD situation, I briefly ran VM on laptop disconnected from external monitor. Then plugged back in to external monitor and upon restart of VM problem was gone.

This sounds more or less like what others were reporting--there is some issue when VM has to deal with a change in monitor resolution but I can't be more specific as to exactly what is the condition that causes the problem.
