Build 3188 problems with mouse, keyboard & coherence

Hi,

I just installed 3188 but I can't get the mouse, keyboard, or coherence to work. Coherence & Keyboard don't work at all. Mouse vanishes when I click in window - unless I bring up the dashboard by middle clicking - then it appears but doesn't work and disappears when I go to the edge.

Using Mac OS X 10.4.7 (8K1123) with Windows XP Home sp0.

Anyone got any ideas?

What plug type with the mouse?

What plug type with the keyboard?

Have you tried sp2?

What version of coherence?

Does the mouse always vanish?

Which edge dissapears?
.

Its an iMac all standard stuff

USB Mouse

USB Keyboard

Sp2 - haven't tried it

Coherence - whatever is in 3188

Yes mouse always vanishes when you click in to activate or after getting it to appear by middle clicking when you go to the edge

All edges disapear

I should also add that 1970 build works OK - USB is a bit unreliable but at least you have a keyboard!

Same kind of problem

I'm experiencing the same kind of problem with MacBook Pro 1.83Ghz, 1.5 GB ram

I had Boot Camp installed first, wich worked pretty well. Then last week I decided to go for Parallels. With the previous build, I was really impressed, and coherence did work very well.

But since I went to build 3188, coherence still show up but there is a problem with the mouse when it get from macos to windows Xp. The pointer seems to be de-phased with osx pointer. -- so I can't use coherence at all

Second, when I go full screen, the mouse seems to lag a little bit (too much for a user). With the previous build, it was way better as I could use autocad and Solidworks without any problem.
But when the mouse is lagging, there's no way to use autocad without getting frustrated.

If I could, I would go back to the previous build ...

Build 3188-tools, cursor problem

Hello all, I am a newbie and very happy with Parallels. A couple of questions: I just downloaded Build 3188. At the beginning it states to remember to install "parallels tools" - how do I do that? In previous updates I could figure it out. But it does not seem intuitive this time. Also, I have had cursor disappearing problems in XP recently, before installing 3188. A restart gets it back. Any ideas? Finally, what is coherence? Thanks.

I managed to lose the mouse altogether, by using the Devices menu, and telling it that I was using an Apple Extended Keyboard and an infrared mouse (both true). Thereafter the cursor never moved. By random movement and right-clicking, so I could see where I was, I could get around the screen. I could even by guesswork activate the shutdown button, but there was no way I could actually click the confirming button to shut it down. In the end I had to crash the entire computer.

On restart I have keyboard and mouse working, but I cannot use the Fkeys any longer, which were working before.

This is build 3188, with new tools installed. On an iMac.

Mouse Conflicts

Hardware:
Macbook Pro 17" 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Logitech G5 USB Gaming Mouse

Software:
MAC OS X 10.4.9
Parallels For Mac Build 3118
Windows XP SP2 Fully updated

Problem:
Parallels captures both gaming mouse and native mouse and will move around inside the guest OS but will not be able to click anything. Also does not want to release either one using the release key sequence. On occasion both mouses are active and conflict with each other. I tried clicking both "Devices -> USB -> Apple Internal Keyboard / Trackpad" and "Devices -> USB -> USB Gaming Mouse" and both make the condition even worse. I lose all control and have to cold-reboot the laptop. This condition occurs in coherence mode only.

Reinstall Tools

I had the same problem. It all worked well, even with the new build, until I installed a new mouse (MS Notebook mouse) and drivers. I deinstalled the mouse software and reinstalled the parallels tools, and it all went back to normal: mouse works with coherence with no problems.
