Build 8.0.18494 Parallels Tools install crashes in Ubuntu Studio 13.04 64bit

I get a system message that a process crashed when I install the tools and the install window never compleates. I tried rebooting and installing again with same results. Because after the crash resize windows does not work I went back to a system snapshot from befrore the install and of course get the Tools outdated message.

I might be having the same problem -- when I try to install the tools, my system suddenly jumps to the login screen and the tools aren't installed successfully.
