Can a Mac host and guest share a paste buffer?

I'm running a Mojave guest on Catalina macOS. Is there any way to share the paste buffer between the two? I know it works in windows, but haven't figured out how to make it work here. Thanks!

 

I might add that I did choose the option to share Mac clipboard in other options
