I just received my new M1 MacBook Pro & installed Parallels Desktop for Mac 17. I still have my original Windows 10 thumb drive & Product Key. Will it work on my new Mac? Or do I now have to buy Windows 11?

Thank you! So I did that and now have Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview installed. But it keeps telling me that Windows isn't activated. Do I need to purchase a license from Microsoft to continue using this preview version?

I only have a Windows Home key. Currently the only version of Windows that will work on the new M1 Macs is Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview. The Home version is not available yet; so my Home key will not activate that Pro version. It's just a matter of time before Windows stops working on my new computer.

Hello, only Windows 11 is supported on Mac M1 machine currently. Thanks, Parallels Team.

Yes, but currently only the Pro version exists in the format that the Mac M1 supports. I have a Home Edition Product Key so I cannot activate it.

Hi, you can use Parallels Desktop Standard Edition on M1 Mac as well. Please help us with your Parallels Desktop license key in private message.

I am not sure how to send you a private message. Can you, or anyone else, let me know?
